Flogas brand ambassador, former Olympic athlete and wellness speaker David Gillick recently visited the Rostrevor Men’s Shed to announce a three-year energy partnership between Flogas and Irish Men’s Shed Association (IMSA) in Northern Ireland.

As its new energy partner, Flogas will be offering special discounts on electricity, natural gas and LPG to the IMSA’s affiliated Sheds in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Flogas will also be supporting the organisation’s work through many exciting initiatives over the coming years.

“We are delighted to partner with the Irish Men’s Sheds Association and supporting the valuable work they do in keeping the Sheds a warm, safe and hospitable place for all its members,” said John Rooney, managing director, Flogas Ireland.

Located in a picturesque corner of Co Down, Rostrevor Men’s Shed is one of the most forward-looking and innovative in Ireland. Connor Sweeney, Shed secretary, said: “We were delighted to host the launch, it’s great to see an all-island company like Flogas come on board and offer us that crucial bit of support in uncertain times.”

Barry Sheridant, chief executive, IMSA, said: “Men’s Sheds are all about empowering communities, and the support of such a major player in the energy sector means that’s being recognised at the highest level.”

Founded in 2011, the Irish Men’s Sheds Association has overseen the rapid growth to over 450 sheds on the island of Ireland. Men’s sheds are community spaces that allow men to share skills, engage with their communities and improve their wellbeing. See
