Heineken® 0.0% now on Draught

Bestselling Heineken® 0.0%, which is exclusively distributed throughout Northern Ireland by United Wines, is now being introduced to consumers in draught format.  HEINEKEN’s newest draught dispense innovation, called Blade, has already been installed in The SSE Arena, The Kingspan Stadium and several other bars who already are reporting a high rate of sale.  United Wines plan to roll out the Blade even further in 2020.

“Heineken® 0.0% has quickly become the No.1 selling Low / No alcohol beer in the UK since its launch and will now be available in consumers’ preferred format of draught”, said Emma Haughian, Brand Manager at United Wines. “Blade is a plug and pour draught beer system serving 8 litres of Heineken® 0.0%, and does not require any cleaning or maintenance which results in a perfect quality pint every time.   Heineken® 0.0% will enable customers to further capitalize on the growing Low / No alcohol category.”

Heineken® 0.0% is meeting consumers’ growing interest in health and wellness, with more people viewing moderation as a lifestyle choice, social stigma around abstinence is waning and moderation is becoming more culturally acceptable.

HEINEKEN’s Blade machine makes draught Heineken® 0.0% alcohol-free beer a reality, as existing pub cellar technology has been a barrier.  Instead, the Blade machine sits on top of the bar, meaning drinkers can get a pint of great tasting beer, without any alcohol.

In the Off Trade, HEINEKEN are also supporting retailers with the launch of Zero Zones to the NI market.  Zero Zones allow stores to strengthen visibility and showcase the no-alcohol range in store, ensuring options are easy to find in store is key to helping shoppers make conscious choices.
