24th anniversary for Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism in Northern Ireland
UTV’s Pamela Ballantine will officially launch the 24th annual Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism 2019 on Wednesday 28th November in The Loft @ Ten Square, Belfast.
The Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism pay tribute to and recognise the achievements of many committed, passionate professionals in the hospitality industry throughout Northern Ireland.
Marianne Hood, Chair of the Institute of Hospitality (NI Branch) is encouraging industry professionals to enter the awards.
“These are the longest established hospitality awards in Northern Ireland, recognising the success of individuals working in all sectors of the industry.
There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in hospitality. An increase of 3,000 bedrooms is anticipated across Northern Ireland by 2021 and Belfast is currently the number one city in the UK for hotel investment. There is also an ambition to double the value of the tourism sector by 2020 and with the hospitality industry underpinning tourism, it makes sense for us to recognise hard working, innovative, passionate professionals – those that really do go above and beyond the call of duty.
The Institute of Hospitality Awards for Professionalism provide a platform to celebrate individual managers who have made a recognisable contribution to their place of work and to the industry in general.”
To self-nominate or to nominate one of your colleagues, please visit our website www.iohniawards.com from Thursday 29th November, when we go live. There is a broad spectrum of categories, covering all aspects of the industry and we encourage everyone to get involved and celebrate success and personal achievements.
The deadline for entries is Monday 18th February 2019 and judging will take place on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th March 2019. The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be at Titanic Belfast on Friday 17th May 2019.
