Judges described Helen Crawford as being a great ambassador for the hotel industry as well as a versatile and confident communicator who is a real credit to the profession.

Helen has been working at the Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport since August 2015 as Receptionist and earlier this year was promoted to Reception Supervisor. She was employee of the year in 2016.

Helen Crawford, NIHF Receptionist of the Year from Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport, said:

“I am delighted to win Receptionist of the Year for 2018, this is such a massive accolade in the hospitality industry and to be this year’s winner is an honour.  I was runner up in the Most Promising category in 2016, so to go on and win the main title this year was an overwhelming experience.  I’m very lucky to be in a position to say I absolutely love my job and the team I work with and this so easily reflects into my day to day duties on the front desk. I am very proud of myself and hope that my success story can help to inspire others within the industry.”

Brian Tracey, General Manager Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport, commented:

“I am absolutely over the moon with Helen’s achievement. Not only is Helen an inspiration to our customers she is a true inspiration to all at the Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport.
