Critically acclaimed chef and restauranteur Marco Pierre White will be back in Belfast next week to host a special lunch and a book signing.
Marco will welcome members of the public to the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at the Park Avenue Hotel in east Belfast on Thursday 19th April while he visits one of his most popular outlets where over 50,000 guests have dined since opening just over two years ago.
Mandy Patrick, Managing Director of the Park Avenue Hotel says it is always a pleasure to welcome Marco to Belfast; “Marco has a great relationship with all the team here at the hotel and restaurant, it will be great to see him again. Marco regularly checks in with Eddie Patrick, our head chef, who he personally trained to ensure the highest levels of cooking and standards throughout the restaurant.
“Everyone is welcome to come and meet Marco on the 19th and try dishes from the new menu, as well as enjoy the opportunity for photographs and to receive a signed copy of Marco’s cookbook, compliments of the Park Avenue Hotel.”
Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill opened its first and only outlet in Northern Ireland in the four-star Park Avenue Hotel in October 2015. Since then, over 50,000 diners have enjoyed the restaurant and continue to head east for the unique experience.
The restaurant has attracted foodies seeking succulent steaks sourced from Rodgers Meats in Gilnahirk, and classic French dishes to tickle their taste buds, as well as contemporary cocktails, exclusive Marco Pierre White Wine and a great atmosphere.
Mandy continued; “Our menu is packed with the finest produce and has evolved to keep up with the Marco Pierre White standards. Our new options include seared scallops, the Alex James Burger, named after the Blur musician and good friend of Marco’s, featuring his own artisan Blue Monday cheese.
“We also have new vegetarian options such as velvet artichoke and wild mushrooms, as well as a poached pear salad with more of Alex James’ cheese. We are passionate about using local produce where we can, and our other suppliers include Get Fresh in Dunmurry and Keenan’s Seafood in Belfast, which brings us freshly caught seafood each morning from Kilkeel, Portavogie and Ardglass.”
Mandy also commented that the Marco Pierre White brand is to expand here in Northern Ireland, with the introduction of bespoke weddings at the Park Avenue Hotel; “We’re looking forward to bringing White Weddings by Marco Pierre White to the Park Avenue Hotel, where couples can experience the buzz and atmosphere of the Steakhouse Bar & Grill alongside impeccable dishes and attention to detail on their special day.
“This is the only place you can have such an experience in Belfast!”
Marco last visited the restaurant two years ago, just after opening, and met with around 100 diners who booked in to meet the man himself. This year, guests can enjoy a three-course lunch from 1pm, plus a signed book for £55 per person.
Spaces are limited and can be booked via www.parkavenuehotel.co.uk or 028 9065 6520.
