New champagne bar opens in Belfast

A new champagne bar has been launched at House of Fraser in Belfast following a £100,000 investment.

And 10 part-time and full-time jobs have been created by the opening of the bar on the womenswear floor of House of Fraser. The bar is owned by father and son restaurant operators Brian and Adam Stockman. They already run the Ivory restaurant on the top-floor of House of Fraser, the anchor store in Victoria Square in Belfast.

Adam Stockman said: “We are extending our offering in the department store just in time for the festive season.

“Since we first opened in House of Fraser, we have enjoyed great success that has led to longer opening hours and an extended balcony and we’re excited to offer a new concept under the same roof.

“Over the last number of years, we have seen increased footfall due to our close proximity to the business district and the Belfast port for docking cruise ships.

“This is a new experience for customers to escape the hubbub of shopping and to refuel. The views extend across the main thoroughfare of Victoria Square which makes it an ideal location for the world go by.”
