Seasons at the Guinness Storehouse has been named Best Event Caterer 2016 at the prestigious Event Industry Awards which took place in the Double Tree Hilton, Dublin, recently.

Seasons is the hospitality division of global food, facilities and property services provider Aramark and has been the catering provider to the Guinness Storehouse since 2000, delivering world class visitor catering services and unique, Guinness-inspired evening events.

The Guinness Storehouse recently celebrated the completion of a major refurbishment of its visitor catering offering, with fresh new spaces and menus that take inspiration from Guinness beers.

Arthur’s Bar celebrates the craft of brewing with a wide range of beers available in bottle and on tap and a selection of food that is casual, easy and accessible and which pairs well with beer. Popcorn with crispy pork rinds and a Pulled Pork bap feature alongside classics such as Beef & Guinness Stew and the Guinness Burger.

The Brewers’ Dining Hall evokes the 200-year-old tradition of brewers dining at St. James’s Gate, with hearty and wholesome dishes on offer while the Cooperage Café brings a selection of sandwiches, sweet treats and coffees to the first floor.

1837 Bar & Brasserie is the flagship restaurant, named for the year in which Benjamin Disraeli noted in his diary that he had enjoyed the combination of oysters and stout, capping off ‘the most remarkable day hitherto of my life’. An open kitchen is framed by a loft-style space shot through with steel, subway tiles and arching windows overlooking the Dublin skyline. Dishes by head chef Justin O’Connor range from Gubbeen chorizo flatbreads to flat-iron chicken Panzanella, from bacon & cabbage croquettes to Hanlon’s smoked salmon with a creamy Compsey dill cheese –all paired by knowledgeable staff with complimentary Guinness beers.

Paul Carty, Managing Director, Guinness Storehouse said,

“Each year we welcome almost 1.5 million visitors and in 2015 we had the honour of being named Europe’s leading tourist attraction at the World Travel Awards. This success is thanks to a unique visitor experience which also includes a superior food and beverage offering that we’ve worked long and hard with Aramark to develop. We’re delighted to be named Best Event Caterer as the win is a testament to the excellence, quality and variety of our dining experience and to the unique creativity of the hospitality team in delivering Guinness inspired dining and events experiences. This shared dedication to quality is crucial to the Guinness Storehouse and reinforces our reputation as a must-visit attraction.”

Frank Gleeson, Region Managing Director of Aramark Northern Europe said,

“We’ve worked with the Guinness Storehouse for many years and are immensely proud of the team’s achievements in helping cement its position as THE tourist attraction in Ireland and beyond. We’re constantly listening to and working closely with our customers to develop delicious, fresh dining experiences that reflect the changing tastes of their customers. The refurbishment of the Guinness Storehouse allows us to deliver great experiences and enhance the overall experience of visitors.”
