Lisburn-based foodservice provider Brakes teams up with industry magazine to launch YesChef 2016 Awards

The search to find Ireland’s best Chefs, restaurants, pubs and staff is on as nominations open for the 2016 YesChef Awards.The 2016 YesChef Awards, sponsored by Lisburn-based foodservice provider Brakes, will recognise and reward the heroes of Ireland’s hospitality industry at a showpiece event in October at the Hodson Bay Hotel.

Nominations, open today via, are welcome from any restaurant, chef, pub or member of hospitality staff who feel their contribution to Ireland’s hospitality industry deserves to be recognised. The Awards programme, now in its second year, features a wide range of categories including Best Chef, Best Street Food, Best Indian Restaurant and most innovative wine list.

A winner in each category will be chosen for Ulster, Leinster, Munster and Connaught.

The YesChef Awards are sponsored by Brakes, a local foodservice provider. The company has five depots across the island in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Strabane and Lisburn. Gareth Clements, Ireland Sales Director at Brakes, comments:

The YesChef Awards is an event organised by YesChef magazine, the magazine for lovers of good food. First published in 2007 as Cook for Ulster YesChef, the magazine has evolved and now incorporates Ireland as well as Northern Ireland. During the past four years,it has also developed a Scottish edition which has gone from strength to strength.
