Liam McKenna from Belfast enjoyed a once in a lifetime VIP experience last weekend as the NI winner of Carlsberg’s 2015 #JOINTHEGREATS campaign.
As part of his prize, Liam received match tickets, transfers, accommodation and tickets for two to the premium Carlsberg Lounge for a meal and event with club ‘Greats’. To top it off, he also got to walk out of the iconic Anfield tunnel and play on one of the most famous pitches in the world with legends including John Barnes and Didi Hamann.
Speaking about the experience, Liam McKenna said; ““I’m a major Liverpool fan so jumped at the chance to enter Carlsberg’s ‘Join the Greats’ competition in my local pub, The Parador, in Belfast. I took my son with me and we had an amazing weekend – I still can’t believe that I played at Anfield with some of the world’s ‘greats’. It’s every Liverpool fan’s dream to walk out on to that pitch so it really was a once in a lifetime experience.”
Paul Blaney from the Parador, added; “The Carlsberg’s 2015 #JOINTHEGREATS campaign was a great competition to be part of and to be able to offer to our customers and I am thrilled that we produced one of the 10 winners from across Ireland!”
Speaking about the campaign, Colum Campbell, Brand Manager for Carlsberg said; “As a brand we’ve had a great relationship with Liverpool FC over the years and the club has a special connection with fans here. To see the reaction from winning fans as they stepped out on to the pitch at Anfield was incredible. We were delighted to be able to give football fans that once in a lifetime experience.”
