Limelight Snow Patrol gig a night to REMember as over £10k is raised for Alzheimer’s Research UK
Pictured L-R: DJ & broadcaster, Joe Lindsay, organiser of the recent REMember fundraiser gig and Phil Donaldson from The Limelight and Snow Patrol’s Nathan Connolly pictured with a cheque for £10,749.86, which will be presented to Alzheimer’s Research UK this week.
On 30th December, a little piece of music history was made as Snow Patrol joined a stellar line-up of local artists to perform at a one-off fundraiser in Limelight 1. Described by many in attendance as one of the standout gigs of 2013, the REMember benefit saw Snow Patrol and a roster of top local acts including, Runaway GO, The Jane Bradfords, War Hole and Katie Richardson play handpicked REM covers, alongside a selection of their own material.
Proceeds from ticket sales for the sold out show, along with donations made by Limelight customers on and since the gig have been tallied together to make the grand total. Picture by Luke Joyce.
