Northern Ireland Bars Embark on Heineken Star Serve Odyssey
Local bar staff could compete on global stage!
Bar staff from pubs throughout Northern Ireland including 21 Social, The Hudson, Molly Brown’s, The Bank, Sally McNallys, The Errigle Inn, Moes, The John Hewitt and The House among many others have been invited to showcase their ‘perfect pour’ at The Heineken Star Serve Awards at The Odyssey Arena on October 7th 2013. And if they win – they could go on to represent Northern Ireland at the Global Star Serve Awards in Amsterdam, competing against the best bar men and women from all over the world.
Staff from these local bars and many others from across Northern Ireland are currently putting the finishing touches to their ‘perfect pour’ as they prepare for Heineken’s biggest trade event across the island of Ireland.
Over 2,500 bar staff and trade supporters are attending four regional award ceremonies in Cork, Limerick, Dublin and Belfast. The winner of each regional event will go head to head to become the National Star Serve Champion.
The Star Serve journey doesn’t stop there. This year, for the first time, The Irish National Star Serve Champion will represent both the island of Ireland and their pub on the global stage in November! As well as the unique opportunity to compete for the ultimate global title in Amsterdam, the winner will also be in with a chance to win a trip for two anywhere in the world!
Leza Nulty, Commercial Manager for Heineken NI, advised: “We wish the staff from all our partner bars the very best of luck. The Heineken Star Serve Awards have been established to support bars who take pride in the ‘perfect pour’ and we believe these bars have a great chance to become the National Star Serve Champion.”
